From Vision to Keys — Our Build Model

A proven, professional process that delivers dignified homes on time and on budget.

The Master's Choice operates on a four-phase build model that takes a project from community need to completed home in as little as 90 days. Every phase is managed by professionals, supported by volunteers, and guided by our commitment to quality and dignity.

Timeline: 2–4 weeks

Phase 01: Community Assessment

Every build begins with a thorough community assessment. We work with local partners — including CASA (Christians Against Spiritual Abuse, casaplan.org), disaster relief organizations, veteran service providers, and faith communities — to identify the most urgent housing needs in a given area, guided by the Gospel call to lift the poor.

Key Activities

  • Partner outreach and community listening sessions
  • Site identification and land acquisition planning
  • Family/individual needs assessment and qualification
  • Local code and regulatory review
  • Community impact analysis
Timeline: 3–6 weeks

Phase 02: Architectural Design

Our licensed architects create home designs tailored to each community's climate, culture, and the specific needs of the families being served. We don't use cookie-cutter plans — every design reflects the dignity and individuality of the people who will live there.

Key Activities

  • Site analysis and orientation planning
  • Home model selection and customization
  • Accessibility and resilience features integration
  • Energy efficiency systems design
  • Permit application and approval
Timeline: 60–120 days

Phase 03: NexxusBuild Construction

NexxusBuild, our professional construction arm, manages the full build process. This means licensed contractors, professional project management, quality control at every stage, and a build timeline that respects the urgency of the families waiting for their home.

Key Activities

  • Site preparation and foundation work
  • Framing, roofing, and weatherproofing
  • Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Insulation, drywall, and interior finishing
  • Landscaping, final inspections, and punch list
Timeline: 1 day + ongoing

Phase 04: Community Handover

The handover is not just a transaction — it is a celebration. We present keys to families with ceremony and care, ensuring they understand their home, their neighborhood, and the ongoing Gospel-centered support available to them through our CASA (Christians Against Spiritual Abuse) partnership.

Key Activities

  • Home walkthrough and orientation
  • Key ceremony with community celebration
  • Connection to CASA (Christians Against Spiritual Abuse) healing programs
  • Homeowner education and resources
  • 30/60/90-day follow-up check-ins

Every home. Every time. No exceptions.

We hold every build to the same standard we would apply to a home for our own family. That means licensed professionals, quality materials, rigorous inspections, and a commitment to getting it right — not just getting it done.
